A visit from the BBC

20190322_152828 (2)Friday 22nd March saw a change to normal College life with the arrival of the BBC. Scheduled for 2 p.m., they arrived at 4 pm (!) with cameras and sound equipment and Gareth Malone. They recorded an interview with Fr Peter and filmed and recorded brethren and students singing plainsong in the Upper Church.

The BBC writes, “Britain’s Easter Story is a new two–part series on Good Friday and Easter Sunday with choir master Gareth Malone and gospel choir conductor Karen Gibson. They travel across the UK to explore the stories behind our Easter traditions, looking at how different celebrations have developed over the years, and how music remains a big part of those celebrations.” The Community and the College are in the programme scheduled for Good Friday.
