Where we are

The College of the Resurrection is one of two theological colleges in the North of England, and we welcome ordinands and independent students from all over the country and all over the world.

Our campus is beautiful; the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly; and we value individuals while building up the common life.

Where we are on the map

We’re based at Mirfield in West Yorkshire, a small town 6 miles north-east of Huddersfield and 8 miles west of Wakefield. The cities of Leeds, Bradford, Manchester and Sheffield are easily accessible, many of them providing inspirational urban placements for our students. And when you want to relax, you’ll have easy access to the spectacular Yorkshire Moors and Dales.

Our campus

Our campus offers 22 acres of peaceful, leafy grounds, so there’s plenty of scope for quiet time and space to think, pray, and reflect. There are extensive lawns and gardens as well as woodland, and the grounds contain all our teaching facilities, most of our accommodation, and the majestic church of the Community of the Resurrection.

Sharing our space

We’re unique in that we’re interconnected with a monastic community, the Community of the Resurrection, whose home this is. We also share our campus with a popular retreat house, a liturgical institute, a non-residential course, a diocesan resource centre and an education-for-discipleship centre.
