Overseas Students

Overseas Students

The College regularly admits ordinands and clergy from Churches within the Anglican Communion, and other Churches with which the Church of England is in full communion. In addition, we are delighted to consider on a case-by-case basis applications for exchange programmes from ordinands and clergy in Churches with which the Church of England has ecumenical links.

Within the last five years, the College community has included students from Armenia, Australia, France, Japan, Lesotho, Romania, South Africa, the United States and Zimbabwe.

Fees and Scholarships for Overseas Students

Overseas undergraduate and postgraduate students at the College of the Resurrection starting programmes of more than one year will pay the same fixed fee for each year of their programme. This arrangement is designed to help students and families plan finances for the full length of the programme.

Tuition fees for Overseas Students at the College for the 2009-10 academic year are £10,300. The College offers a number of Frere Scholarships each year to applicants from overseas. These are worth up to £7,000, and are used to offset most of the cost of the Tuition Fee.

Applications for Frere Scholarships are welcomed from all overseas applicants. Priority is given to applicants from South Africa, Zimbabwe, other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Romania, and other countries in the former Eastern Europe (in that order).

It is possible to secure a Frere Scholarship at the start of the application process. In such cases, the Scholarship is made conditional upon admission to the College.

Details of maintenance costs for students at the College are available on request.
