Ordinands
We welcome enquiries and applications from ordinands preparing for ministry in the Church of England, in our sister Churches within the Anglican Communion, and in other Churches with which the Church of England is in full communion.
Most ordinands at the College train in a full-time residential mode. This involves spending one, two, or three years full time at College as part of the residential formational community. During term, students spend time in church, in classes, on parish and sector attachments, and in the library, as well as living alongside others with a wide range of approaches and experiences. In the summer, students spend a portion of their time on full-time ministry and mission placements either at home or abroad.
In addition, the College welcomes ordinands who are training in a 'mixed mode', combining part-time and full-time formation. Students who train this way here come from a variety of non-residential courses and spend a shorter period living as members of the full-time residential community at the College.
You can find out more about training in the residential or mixed modes at the College of the Resurrection by speaking with your DDO or by contacting the College's Academic Registrar using our enquiry form.
We are delighted to consider on a case-by-case basis applications for exchange programmes from ordinands in Churches with which the Church of England has ecumenical links. Click here to enquire.
