Families
Visitors are sometimes surprised at the many signs of the presence of young children: the high-chairs in the refectory, the toy-box in the Common Room, the provision of changing facilities, in a college so closely linked with a monastic community. In College families play an important part in our life and we welcome the presence of children and young people - in Church, in the Common Room and in the refectory. Spouses and children regularly eat in College.
Indeed sometimes life revolves around the children of students, who quickly make themselves completely at home - and enjoy the friendship of students and other adults.
As well as the support offered by the College, there is also welcome in the local area for families. The schools have long experience of receiving students' children and there are good resources at play-group, primary and secondary levels.
