The House of Bishops and the Ministry Division
The College of the Resurrection is one of eleven colleges in England which are recognized by the House of Bishops as centres of formation for ordinands in a full-time mode of training. Like its ten sister colleges, the College of the Resurrection provides initial education for ministry in partnership with the House of Bishops, the General Synod, the Dioceses, and the Ministry Division of the Archbishops’ Council.

The University of Sheffield
The College of the Resurrection works in collaboration with the University of Sheffield – one of the top universities in the world and a member of the Russell Group of research universities in the UK. In partnership with the University, we provide a distinctive pattern of study, allowing ordinands to combine the best of the departmental degree model on offer in a number of theological colleges with the strengths of the professional studies model.
-
Our Regional Training Partnership
The College provides formation for ministry as part of the Yorkshire Regional Training Partnership (RTP). Our closest partner within the RTP is the Yorkshire Ministry Course (YMC). Our formational programmes are enhanced by elements of joint teaching and learning, and elements of joint worship, with the YMC. The YMC office is located on the Mirfield campus.

The Community of the Resurrection
The College is uniquely blessed to live alongside a monastic house, the home of the Community of the Resurrection. The Community founded the College over a century ago, and today supports the College’s life in teaching, in providing our beautiful campus and in contributing to our running costs. We worship together every day.

The Mirfield Centre
The College also works closely with the Mirfield Centre, a development of the Community which provides education for discipleship throughout our region. The Mirfield Centre offers an innovative and comprehensive range of study days, conferences and consultations. Every academic year, ordinands at the College take part in some educational events organized jointly by the College and the Centre, which most often take the form of College Lectures given by distinguished visiting speakers. In this way, lay and clerical students learn together.
