Joe Kennedy became Principal of the College in 2008. Immediately before coming to the College, Joe worked in student chaplaincy at Cambridge, serving as Dean and Fellow of Selwyn College and as Chaplain at Newnham College. Prior to that, he worked in student support roles, in school chaplaincy, and in parish ministry.
Joe read mathematics and then theology at the University of Edinburgh before undertaking postgraduate research in systematic theology at Oxford, where he held the Gosden Scholarship at Keble College. His current research interests centre on theological methodology and constructive Christology. He was installed as an Honorary Canon of Wakefield Cathedral in March 2010.
Joe is married to Emily, who is an accountant.
