About the College
The College of the Resurrection is a place of Christian community and a seedbed of future ministry.
Students work in partnership with College staff to foster growth in their Christian lives and to equip themselves for ministry and mission.
The College experience is one of rich diversity, equipping men and women for generous and creative Christian ministry which is centred on prayer, informed by theology, and grounded in practice.

We share our campus with a growing monastic community, a popular retreat house, a liturgical institute, a non-residential course, a Diocesan resource centre, an education-for-discipleship centre, and a Romanian Orthodox parish. There’s always plenty going on! And yet, the College is set in the midst of picturesque and serene Yorkshire landscape, and in twenty-two acres of beautiful gardens – so there is also always quiet and space to think, to pray, and to reflect.

The College values its strong academic tradition. Our academic programmes combine the rigour of study in a leading research university and the integrated approach characteristic of the monastic tradition, bringing ministry, prayer and study together to feed and enrich one another. We offer individually tailored programmes of study to all our students, strong academic support, research-led teaching and an enviable record of academic results.

The College affords beautiful views over the Yorkshire countryside, and attracts both those seeking a space to think and those bringing up families. At the same time, vibrant cities such as Leeds, Bradford, Manchester and Sheffield are easily accessible, and many of them provide the location for inspiring urban placements for students, as well as a broad range of leisure activities. The strong international connections of both the College and the Community mean that students have placement opportunities across the globe – from South Africa to Scandinavia.
